AmaWaterways Will Add Two Ships in 2026

AmaWaterways will add two new river ships to its fleet in 2026, including one on the Mekong River.

The first to join the fleet will be the AmaSofia, which will begin sailing the Rhine and Danube rivers on May 24, 2026. It will be AmaWaterways’ 24th ship in Europe. The ship will sail 31 departures in 2026, featuring multiple itineraries on the Danube. 

AmaKaia will join the AmaWaterways’ fleet on the Mekong River on Aug. 3, 2026. It will offer two seven-night itineraries – the Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong. It will sail a total of 22 sailings in 2026 and 38 in 2027.
