Tour and river cruise operator Tauck is introducing six new European river itineraries to its 2024 portfolio of river cruises. Each new itinerary will feature an exclusive dinner ashore either in a historic castle or a private palace, and several incorporate included pre- or post-cruise hotels stays in new-to-Tauck cities including Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and Montreux and Geneva, Switzerland.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be expanding our river cruise offerings in such an unprecedented way, with exciting new itineraries that will appeal to our loyal past guests and new travelers alike,” said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar.

Highlights of the new itineraries include:

Danube Kingdoms: Bavaria, Austria & Hungary (12 days, Munich to Budapest)
Includes a four-night, land-based exploration of Bavaria with hotels stays in Munich and Partenkirchen, plus a seven-night Danube cruise visiting Passau, Linz, Salzkammergut, Cesky Krumlov, Melk, Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest. The highlight dinner will take place at a private Viennese palace, Palais Pallavicini, featuring a reception, gala dinner and classical music performance.

Rhine Connoisseur: Montreux to Brussels (11 days, from Montreux to Brussels, or reverse)
Includes a three-night stay at the Fairmont Montreux Palace and tours of Lavaux Vineyards, Montreux and Glacier 3000, plus a seven-night cruise visiting Strasbourg, Rudesheim, Koblenz, Dusseldorf, Gorinchem, Antwerp, and Brussels. The highlight dinner will take place at the 14th-century castle Slot Loevestein.

River Seine: Chateaux, Impressionism & Normandy (8 days, RT Le Pecq [Paris])
Port stops include Auvers-sur-Oise, Les Andelys, Tilly, Mont-Saint-Michel, Eretat, Honfleur, the D-Day Beaches of Normandy, Rouen, Giverny (where Tauck guests have exclusive early-entry admission to the home and gardens of Claude Monet), and Le Pecq. The highlight dinner will take place at the 16th century Chateau du Taillis.

La Belle Vie: The Rhone, Geneva & The Riviera (14 days, Cannes to Geneva, or reverse)
Includes a nine-night river cruise along the Rhone bookended by two, two-night hotels stays in Cannes and Geneva. Port stops include Aix-en-Provence, Arles, La Camargue, Avignon, Uzes, St-Remy, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Tain l’Hermitage, Macon, Cluny, Chalon-sur-Saone, Beaune, Tournus, Cormatin, and Lyon. The highlight dinner will take place at Duche d’Uzes, the family castle of the Dukes of Uzes, once the site of a Roman governor’s residence.
