-lients interested in exploring the American Midwest by river can do so in grand style on American Queen Voyages’ longest-ever river journey. The 23-day Grand Ohio & Upper Mississippi Rivers sailing travels 1,772 miles and visits 10 states.

“Guests have made the 16-day Mighty Mississippi voyage between Minneapolis (Red Wing) and New Orleans one of our most popular itineraries, and we are pleased to reveal an even more immersive itinerary sailing to Pittsburgh that now incorporates the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers,” said Isis Ruiz, chief commercial officer of American Queen Voyages.

The extended voyage passes through 10 states including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, and Kentucky, among others. Included excursions include a visit to the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky; a tour of the Anheuser House in Kimmswick, Missouri; a visit to the Old Courthouse and Gateway Arch in St. Louis; a scenic jet boat experience in Madison, Indiana; among many others.

The Grand Ohio & Upper Mississippi Rivers sailing departs July 24, 2023 from Minneapolis (Red Wing) and will be onboard American Countess. The reverse journey departs on August 14. Rates for the sailing start at $7,197 per person.
