New Opening: Mondrian Mexico City Condesa
by Dori Saltzman
Each of the hotel’s rooms features a mural by multi-disciplinary artist Ara Starck, inspired by one of the remaining aqueducts in Mexico City.
With the opening of the Mondrian Mexico City Condesa, Latin America has its first ever Mondrian hotel property. Located between the famed La Roma and Condesa neighborhoods, the 183-room hotel also offers state-of-the-art meeting and event space, as well as four distinct culinary concepts.
“We are thrilled to introduce Mondrian to Latin America for the first time,” said Chadi Farhat, brand chief operating offer at Mondrian at Ennismore. “The culture and vibrancy of Mexico City is deeply rooted in this hotel and has culminated in a hub that brings together globally and locally inspired food and beverage offerings to the ever-evolving La Condesa neighborhood…”
Among the 183 rooms are 16 luxury suites and two penthouse suites situated on the hotel’s seventh and eighth floors. Each suite features a spacious living room, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a balcony with expansive views of Mexico City’s skyline. All suites are equipped with a full bar, Marshall Bluetooth speaker, Lavazza Blue Espresso machine, 24-hour in-room dining and the option of a private chef or mixologist services up on request.
Dining
Mondrian Mexico City Condesa offers four distinct dining venues including two of the brand’s existing concepts – Cleo and Skybar, as well as two brand new concepts developed for the hotel – The Flower Shop and La Terraza.
Cleo Condesa: Features Mediterranean cuisine in an open kitchen format.
Skybar Condesa: Founded at the Mondrian Los Angeles, Skybar at Mondrian Mexico City Condesa brings together high-energy nightlife, entertainment and cuisine.
The Flower Shop: An all-day artisanal concept that melds florals with a coffee and wine bar serving local pastries and small bites.
La Terraza: Features Mediterranean fare in an al fresco venue.
