The American Society of Travel Advisors’ (ASTA) Ann Chamberlin, Senior Vice President, Membership & Strategic Partnerships and President, ASTA Small Business Network, has taken a new position as Vice President, Sales at Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours.
In a note to ASTA members, ASTA President Zane Kerby wrote that “Ann has been a critical part of the ASTA team since she joined us in 2012. As Vice President and then President of our subsidiary National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) from 2012 to 2018, she grew the NACTA membership substantially while overseeing a number of successful events.”
“More recently, she played a key role in the 2018 reimagining of NACTA into the ASTA Small Business Network (SBN). On the ASTA side, as Membership SVP she grew ASTA's Premium member ranks while bringing our consortia relationships to new heights,” Kerby said.
Under Chamberlin’s direction, Virtuoso and Travel Leaders Group became “Diamond-level ASTA Proud Partners.” Additionally, Ensemble Travel Group recently joined Signature Travel Network in mandating ASTA membership for its U.S. shareholders.
“After so much dedicated service to both ASTA and ASTA SBN, Ann leaves tremendous shoes to fill,” Kerby said, adding that ASTA is “in the process of evaluating: the association’s Membership Department staffing structure “with an eye toward building on the momentum we've experienced.”
Chamberlin’s last day with ASTA was Sept. 13th.
