Air Travel To Qatar Suspended
by Cheryl RosenSeveral carriers have suspended flights in and out of Qatar following a growing diplomatic rift in the region.
Emirates, Etihad, Saudia and Bahrain’s Gulf Air announced on Monday that all flights are being suspended. Qatar Airways, in return, suspended all of its flights to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain.
The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt all have ended diplomatic ties with the Gulf state.
Bloomberg estimates the rift will ground 76 daily flights, 52 of them operated by Qatar Airways.
