Carnival Cruise Line to Debut Four New Craft Beers on Horizon
by Daniel McCarthy /
When Carnival Horizon’s onboard brewery debuts in April 2018, it will do so with a set of new craft beers.
The ship, which will begin sailing in Europe on April 2, will offer four new craft beers at Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse/Brewhouse, an eatery developed by Guy Fieri. All four beers are inspired by the restaurant’s barbeque offerings.
The first, ParchedPig Smoked Porter is brewed with smoked malt and offers flavors including molasses and hickory smoke.
The second, ParchedPig Farmhouse Ale, will offer a blond color and fruity taste.
The third, ParchedPig Toasted Amber Ale, includes notes of toasted caramel and biscuit.
And the last, ParchedPig West Coast IPA, is Carnival’s version of a traditional West Coast India Pale Ale.
The restaurant will also offer custom cocktails and smoked dishes cooked with signature rubs and spices. Its dinner menu will include a la carte menus. On embarkation day and sea days, it will offer free-of-charge self-service BBQ buffet for lunch.
Outside of the Smokehouse/Brehouse, Horizon will sport many of the same features of its sister ship, Vista, including SkyRide, an IMAX Theatre, Kaleid-O-Slide and the RedFrog Pub & Brewery.
