Chinese Popstar Named Godfather Of Norwegian Joy

NCLH China President, David J. Herrera and Norwegian Joy Godfather, Wang Leehom.

Chinese-American singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and film director Wang Leehom will serve as the godfather of Norwegian Cruise Line’s first ship built for the Chinese market, Norwegian Joy.

Leehom is a four-time winner of the Golden Melody Awards, Tawain’s annual music award, and was a torchbearer for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

He will also represent Norwegian Cruise Line as a brand ambassador, performing on television and radio campaigns in China.

The 3,850-passenger Joy, set to enter service in summer 2017, will homeport in Shanghai and Beijing.
