Disney World Hotels Introduce Online Check-In

by Jessica Montevago  July 31, 2017
Disney World Hotels Introduce Online Check-In

Walt Disney World hotel guests now can use their Magic Band and My Disney Experience app to skip the line at check-in.

Those already in possession of MagicBands will be able to bypass the front desk completely and check in up to 60 days in advance of arrival; others can use MagicBands sent to them in advance. Front desk and concierge cast members will still be available for those who want face-to-face assistance.

The new check-in feature allows travelers to make room requests, add credit card information and authorize charges, submit an estimated arrival time for prompt room access and receive a notification when their room is ready.

Disney said it also plans to expand the app’s Mobile Order service, so guests can avoid the lines at quick- service eateries by ordering and paying for their food in advance. It’s already available at seven locations within Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, and will be added to an additional eight restaurants this summer.
