Riviera River Cruises will honor Omega World Travel Founder Gloria Bohan by making her the godmother of its new MS Burns when the ship is christened on April 3, 2018 in Vienna.
Bohan founded Omega World Travel in 1972 and has since built it into a company with over $1 billion in annual sales. According to Riviera, Omega is the largest woman-owned and operated travel management company in the world.
She is an inductee into the Washington Business Hall of Fame and also a winner of the American Society of Travel Agents’ Travel Agent of the Year Award.
“I wish to thank Riviera River Cruises for naming me Godmother of their newest ship, MS Robert Burns, named for the man known worldwide for composing ‘Auld Lang Syne.’” Bohan said.
“Gloria is a pioneer in the travel industry, and having her as godmother and hosting North American travel agents at the christening reflects our continuing support of the travel agent community there,” said David Clemson, Riviera River Cruises CEO.
