Choice Hotels’ upscale Cambria brand made its debut in Chicago. The 29-story Cambria Chicago Magnificent Mile has 215 guestrooms, 4,000-square-feet of meeting space and a rooftop lounge with views of the windy city and Lake Michigan. The reflagged property was formerly a MileNorth Hotel.
The Four Seasons Maui at Wailea unveiled a “floor-to-ceiling transformation” of its luxury suites and guestrooms. In addition, the resort’s poolside cabanas and chaise lounges were also refurbished and the oceanfront sanctuaries were redesigned to offer more privacy. Public spaces for special events were also added, including two new lawns that offer oceanfront views just steps from Wailea Beach.

The Redbury New York, located in Manhattan’s NoMad district, celebrated its grand opening following extensive renovations. The boutique hotel’s 265 newly-renovated guest rooms and interiors were redesigned, drawing inspiration from nearby legendary center of music recording and publishing, Tin Pan Alley. The RedburyNew York also offers 7,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, Ciel Spa bath amenities and an Italian restaurant.
A new $92-million, 450-room resort opened at Graceland, a tourist destination and home of Elvis Presley’s Graceland Mansion in Memphis, TN. The Guest House at Graceland will feature a 464-seat theater, four dining options, an outdoor pool, conference rooms, outdoor meeting space and an 11,000-square-foot ballroom.

Spanish all-inclusive hotel brand Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts opened its latest resort in the Dominican Republic. The Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia Don Pablo Collection combines luxury accommodations with a family-friendly environment. Located on Punta Cana’s Bavaro Beach, the 512-room resort has five restaurants, a spa and fitness center and nightly entertainment. For younger guests, there’s a Kid’s Club housed in a castle and a larger Teen Club, with its own exclusive amenities like a cinema, dance hall with a DJ, billiards, ping pong and a video-game room.

The Alphonse Island Resort in Seychelles reopened after undergoing renovations. The luxury resort’s 21 private bungalows and five one-bedroom suites have been refurbished. The Beach Bungalows are located on the Eastern shoreline of the island, featuring a patio overlooking the ocean and an outdoor shower. The Beach Suites have a private deck with lounge chairs, an outdoor shower and a large lounge area, as well as an additional guest bathroom. The main hotel complex consists of a reception area, beach bar, dining area, swimming pool, tennis court and main office.
