New Orleans’ Le Pavillon Hotel is making the move to Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio.

Ashford Hospitality Trust, which owns the hotel, made the announcement today that the 226-room hotel will officially move to Marriott in the first quarter of 2024.

Ashford said plans call for a conversion that will create a “distinctive theme and style” for the hotel and bring it into the present day. The conversion includes a redesign to the hotel’s exterior, guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and other public spaces including the hotel lobby bar, the Sazz Bar, and more.

The hotel is located adjacent to the city’s French Quarter, four blocks away from Bourbon Street, and is one of the city’s most historic properties, tracing its history back to 1907. It was originally one of the area’s first plantation homes and was ranked as the best hotel in New Orleans by Conde Nast Traveler.
