Pride Of America “Nearly New Ship” In Honolulu Return
by Daniel McCarthy /Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America sailed into its homeport of Honolulu last Saturday as a “nearly new ship,” following a three-and-a-half-week dry dock.
The ship will debut with brand new venues and new bedding, new furniture, new flat screen televisions, and updated flooring in all staterooms. The restaurants and bar all received new décor, furniture, lighting, and flooring. The pool deck also has been completely refurbished.
"This is much more than just a fresh coat of paint and new drapes. Pride of America is now essentially a new ship,” said Norwegian COO and president Andy Stuart.
The refurb is part of the Norwegian Edge program, a $400-million refurbishment of all ships.
