Princess Cruises is increasing gratuities for interior, oceanview and balcony staterooms from $12.95 to $13.50 per guest per day starting Dec. 15.

Gratuities for mini-suite guests and suite guests also will be increased, to $14.50 and $15.50, respectively.

The cruise line said the decision was made in order to maintain its level of service.

Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean all announced gratuity hikes earlier in the year.
