Rosewood To Increase Locations 33% In 2017
by Doug Gollan /Rosewood Hotels and Resorts will add six properties in 2017 increasing its footprint to 24 hotels, the group confirmed during a media briefing at ILTM in Cannes.
New properties coming online include Phuket, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Puebla, Mexico, Sanya, China, Luang Prabang, Laos and Paris, where it will reopen Hotel de Crillon. The group will also get a flagship in Hong Kong with a tower hotel, starting on the 42nd floor. It will be located in Kowloon next to the Intercontinental. During the show, Rosewood announced in 2019 it will add a sixth hotel in Mexico, this one in Riviera Nayarit. Its property in Laos will include luxury tents, each with wraparound decks. In Phuket, entry room category will include private plunge pools. The brand has a total of 12 new confirmed hotels in the pipeline.
