Sandals Resorts is in final negotiations to open its first two resort hotels in Mexico, the Jamaica Observer quoted Sandals chairman Gordon Stewart as saying.
Stewart made the announcement over the weekend during the STAR Awards at the Sandals in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He did not offer further details.
There are currently 15 Sandals Resorts, all in the Caribbean, on Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Granada, Jamaica, and St. Lucia.
