Southwest Set to Open International Terminal in Houston
In keeping with its plan to grow its international business, Southwest Airlines on Thursday will open a new international concourse at Houston’s Hobby Airport that includes five gates, a brand-new customs facility, and a Southwest ticket counter.
The airline will launch daily international flights to Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Cancun, and San Jose from Houston. Flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Liberia will begin November 1.
The renovation, which began over a year ago, cost $156 million.
