Tourist Forgets Wife at Gas Station, Drives 60 Miles Before Noticing She Is Gone
Tip for travelers: Don’t forget suntan lotion, a cell phone charger, your wife.
A man identified only as “Walter” got into the worst kind of trouble on his Brazil vacation: He left his wife in a gas station and drove for an hour before realizing she wasn’t in the car, reports the Times of India.
Driving from Brazil to Argentina, Walter stopped for gas and a run to the men’s room, leaving his wife asleep on the back seat. She woke up and went inside to buy cookies, and neither Walter nor their 14-year-old son, playing video games on the front seat, realized she was gone when he pulled away without her.
The wife tried to reach Walter on his cell but couldn’t get a signal. So she called police, and waited in the station for two hours until he came back to get her.
