Virgin Voyages CEO Tom McAlpin will be a featured speaker at Travel MarketPlace East, Travel Market Report’s travel advisor conference and trade show kicking off on June 12, 2019, in Toronto.

McAlpin, the former president of Disney Cruise Line, is leading the team that will launch Virgin Voyages, with its first ship, Scarlet Lady, debuting out of Miami in 2020.

“We are thrilled to have Tom McAlpin share his insights and experience as president and CEO of Virgin Voyages. Virgin’s track record of putting ‘First Mates first’ fits beautifully with our goals for Travel MarketPlace. Our focus for the show is to provide content that helps travel advisors thrive and be profitable. We can’t think of a better featured speaker to kick things off!” said Geraldine Ree, executive director, Canada, for Travel Market Report.

McAlpin will be joined by Edie Rodriguez, Americas brand chairman and special corporate advisor, Ponant; Eva Jenner, vice president of sales, Holland America; Charles Sylvia, vice president of membership and trade relations, CLIA; Tim Morgan, director of business strategy, Virtuoso; Cynthia Perry, global director of travel industry sales, Marriott; and more.

This year’s conference will be the sixth time Travel MarketPlace East is hosting advisors and suppliers in Toronto. It is being held at the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport & Conference Center. Registration for both advisors and suppliers is now open.
