Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is adding four new itineraries, along with new excursion and trip extension options for 2023. Among the new offerings is a 46-night itinerary that visits nine countries using five ships.

“Innovation is always at top of mind for us at Uniworld,” said Ellen Bettridge, president and CEO of the river cruise line. “Each year, we strive to make the next river cruise season better than the last.”

New Itineraries
Grand Central Europe: A 15-day sailing that cruises along three iconic rivers – the Rhine, Main and Danube – and visits Switzerland, France, Germany and Austria.

Zurich & the Rhine River Valley: A 10-day cruise that passes through Switzerland, France and Germany on the Rhine and Main rivers.

Belgian Holiday Markets: While Belgium is famous for its spring tulips, this eight-day cruise takes passengers to the region for its Christmas markets.

Rivers of the World: Uniworld’s version of a World Cruise, this 46-night itinerary takes guests to nine countries aboard five different ships. It combines both cruise and land portions with such itinerary highlights as visits to the temples of Abu Simbel in Cairo and Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna, along with stops in France and Portugal.

In addition to the new itineraries, several sailings are being revamped for 2023. For instance, the “Timeless Wonders of Vietnam & Cambodia” is being extended from 13 to 15 days.

New Excursions
Introduced in 2022 on a limited basis, Uniworld’s “Night Out” private evening experiences will be included on almost every European itinerary in 2023. Options (all of which are included in the cruise fare) include an evening a Faber-Castell in Nuremberg, an after-hours visit to Bassins des Lumieres in Bordeaux, and a private visit to Saint Sava church in Belgrade with a concert from the boys’ choir and brandy tasting with monks.

Uniworld is also adding new options to its Masterpiece Collection portfolio of extra-fee excursions. Guests will have the option to visit the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, take a Bavarian country cooking class, visit a Bavarian farm, explore Germany’s Black Forest, and more.

New Trip Extensions
Among the new trip extensions on offer is two-night stay in Interlaken in conjunction with the line’s “Remarkable Rhine & Historic Holland” itinerary, and four nights at the Red Sea Post in conjunction with the “Splendors of Egypt & the Nile” itinerary, including a visit to St. Catherine Monastery.

Other new extensions are a four-night rail add-on to/from Venice and Zurich, and a four-night roundtrip rail add-on to/from Budapest.
