Pilots for Aer Lingus are set to strike on Wednesday, June 26, causing potential flight delays and cancellations.

In response, Aer Lingus has released guidance on its website for passengers who may be affected by the disruption. So far, no delays or cancelations have been made official. Members of the Irish Airline Pilots’ Association (IALPA) are behind the industry action, demanding higher wages.

“The nature of this industrial action will cause a significant impact on our flight schedules,” Aer Lingus wrote in a statement on its website. “Our focus is on communicating directly with impacted customers and notifying them of their options.”

“We know that this is very disruptive for our customers and we apologise for the inconvenience.”

Aer Lingus has outlined steps it will take for passengers in the event of flight delays and cancelations, saying the airline will do its best to “minimize the inconvenience.”

If a flight is canceled, Aer Lingus will contact the party who booked the flight directly. Those whose flights have been canceled will have three options: rebook online, request a voucher for future travel, or request a cash refund.

Those whose flights have been delayed will not recevie a refund if they choose to travel.
