Royal Caribbean Announces First-Ever World Cruise
by Dori Saltzman /Royal Caribbean is going big with its first-ever World Cruise. The 274-night Ultimate World Cruise will be the longest world cruise ever, visiting all seven continents and more than 150 destinations in 65 countries.

To travelers asking themselves where they should go next, we say everywhere.”
Serenade of the Seas will depart from Miami on December 10, 2023, and return to the same port on September 10, 2024. The itinerary will include 57 destinations new to the cruise line.
Guests will be able to visit some of the world’s most spectacular landmarks including Peru’s Machu Picchu, Japan’s Mount Fuji, and India’s Taj Mahal.

Round the Horn: Americas and Antarctica Expedition (Miami to L.A., Dec. 10, 2023 – Feb. 11, 2024)
This nearly two-month-long cruise segment begins in Miami and visits three continents and 36 destinations, including several Caribbean islands, and cities in Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and Argentina. New Year’s Eve will be spent in Rio de Janeiro and journey highlights will include glacier-studded Antarctica, Iguazu Falls in Argentina, and Cape Horn.
Wonders of Asia and the Pacific Expedition (L.A. to Dubai, Feb. 11 – May 9, 2024)
Cruisers will journey around Asia and Oceania on this nearly three-month-long segment that visits 40 destinations across three continents. Highlights include the Hawaiian Islands and Tahiti, New Zealand and Australia, and several stops in Asia including China, India, Japan, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
Middle East Treasures and Marvels of the Med Expedition (Dubai to Barcelona, May 9 – July 10, 2024)
The third segment of Royal Caribbean’s Ultimate World Cruise begins in Dubai and visits several world wonders including Jordan’s lost city of Petra, the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the Temple of Artemis in Turkey, and the Colosseum in Rome. Other highlights include Olympia, Greece; Split, Croatia; and Provence, France. All in all, this nearly three-month-long cruise visits 44 destinations across three continents.
Capitals of Culture (Barcelona to Miami, July 10 – Sept. 10, 2024)
The final leg of the Ultimate World Cruise begins in the Mediterranean, before heading north and then south back to Miami. Highlights of this 40-destination itinerary range from Barcelona to St. Petersburg, and the Norwegian Fjords and Iceland’s Blue Lagoon to New York City.
Fares for the full Ultimate World Cruise, which range from $60,000 to $112,000 per person, include business class airfare, as well as an evening of festivities and accommodations at a five-star hotel before setting sail.
