Royal Caribbean Orders Another Oasis-Class Ship

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is adding another giant to its fleet.
Royal announced today that it has signed an agreement with Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipbuilders to add a sixth Oasis-class ship to its fleet in fall 2023.
That ship will join four Oasis-class ships already sailings—Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Sea, Harmony of the Seas, and Symphony of the Seas—and a fifth not-yet-named ship that is set to come into service in 2021. The four Oasis-class ships already sailing are the four largest ships in the world—Symphony is the largest at 228,081 gross tons—and the two upcoming debuts are expected to be just as large.
“It is such a pleasure to announce the order of another Oasis-class ship,” said Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. “This order is a reflection of the exceptional performance of this vessel class and the extraordinary partnership between Chantiers de l’Atlantique and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.”
Both new Oasis-class ships are expected to include a lot of the features that made the previous ones standout—AquaTheatre, Central Park, seaboard rock climbing walls, full court basketball, water slides, flow riders, carousels, automated bartenders, the Royal Suite Class, the two-level Ultimate Family Suite, and more.
