Norwegian Joy Returns from Refurb with New Thermal Spa, Expanded Cabin Options
by Dori Saltzman /With the completed refurbishment of Norwegian Joy, there’s now one less virtual reality arcade in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. The Galaxy Pavilion was replaced with an all-new thermal spa, the largest in the Breakaway-Plus class fleet. Other changes included redesigning the three-bedroom owner’s sites, expanding the Vibe Beach Club, and adding 24 new balcony staterooms.
The new Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa and Salon features four senses loungers, a sauna, an ice room, and a steam room.
The two newly expanded owner’s suites feature three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a fully renovated living room and master bedroom, and a new separate dining room overlooking the forward-facing The Haven Horizon Lounge.
“Our guests have asked for these enhancements to Norwegian Joy, and we delivered,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We strive to evolve the onboard experience based on our guests’ wants and needs, and this is another example of how we put them first in our decision-making. From an expanded spa to additional spacious accommodations, with these new updates, we have given our guests more space to relax, unplug and enjoy their time on board with their loved ones.”
