Qantas Pushes Up Restart Date for London and Los Angeles Flights
by Daniel McCarthy /After news broke that Australia would be re-opening its international border sooner than expected, Qantas this weekend announced plans to re-launch some international flights this November.
Qantas will now restart three round trip flights per week to both Los Angeles and London Heathrow from Sydney starting on Nov. 14. The carrier said that those dates could change once the Australian government announces the exact date of the border reopening.
Because of the uncertainty, Qantas will allow all guests on the flights to make fee-free date changes until the end of the year, though a fare difference may apply. It will also allow for refunds or flight credits should the flight be canceled.
While rules could also change, all passengers on the Qantas lights will be required to be fully vaccinated and produce a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.
All passengers will be required to home quarantine for seven days on arrival, in accordance with federal government requirements.
