Air Canada to Offer Disney+ Original Series, Movies Onboard
by Briana Bonfiglio /Air Canada has added Disney+ Original television series and movies to its in-flight entertainment system, becoming the first airline in the world to offer them on board.
Beginning this month, Air Canada passengers can watch Disney+ originals such as Loki, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Disenchanted and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers during their flight.
“We are thrilled to bring Disney+ Original series and films to our inflight entertainment, further solidifying our expansive range of leading content,” said John Moody, managing director of product design at Air Canada. “Families with kids and enthusiasts alike will enjoy watching familiar favorites and exciting new originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more. Taking in a Disney+ Original is a great way for our global customers to start or end their journey with us.”
Air Canada has had previous Disney partnerships with Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando for its Disney World-themed inflight safety video and with Disney-Pixar’s Turning Red for its themed livery. The airline has been recognized as one of the best for children and family-friendly entertainment.
