Princess Cruises Founder Dies
Stanley McDonald, the founder of Princess Cruises, has died. He was 94. McDonald, who founded the cruise line in 1965, retired in 1980. The company is now part of Carnival Corp. In a statement, Princess Cruises said of McDonald, “Without his bold vision that people would love to vacation on the seas and explore fascinating ports along the way on ships full of exciting amenities, the vacation world would be very different today.”
