Citing “ongoing supply chain and labor challenges,” The Ritz-Carlton has pushed back the launch of its Yacht Collection brand to August 6, 2022.

This is the sixth delay for the company. Evrima, the first vessel in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection was originally scheduled to launch in February 2020 but was pushed back the first time due to shipyard delays even before the COVID-19 pandemic began.

“Like many in manufacturing, we have experienced significant impact from COVID-19 variants as it relates to labor and supply chain disruptions, and we have had to reevaluate the timing of our first voyage,” said Douglas Prothero, CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “We continue to make significant progress on Evrima and look forward to welcoming guests onboard this summer. We thank our guests for their support as we continue to navigate an evolving global landscape.”

For the time being, Evrima is now scheduled to set sail on August 6 from Athens (Piraeus).

Guests impacted by the delay may choose to reschedule their voyage to an available sailing in 2022, 2023, or 2024, or may discuss reimbursement options with the company. Travel advisors in the U.S. and Canada with affected clients can contact The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection at (833) 999-7292.
