New Senior Leadership at Regent Seven Seas Cruises & Oceania Cruises
by Dori Saltzman /Starting January 1, there will be new presidents at both Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises. Andrea DeMarco, the current chief sales and marketing officer for Regent, will take over as Regent Seven Seas Cruises president, while Frank A. Del Rio, the current chief sales and marketing officer for Oceania, will take over as president there. Both departing presidents, Jason Montague (RSSC) and Howard Sherman (Oceania) will serve as Special Advisors to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Ltd.
“We are grateful to Jason and Howard for their significant contributions to our Company’s success and their tremendous achievements at Regent Seven Seas and Oceania Cruises,” said Frank Del Rio, president and CEO of NCL Holdings Ltd. “We look forward to continuing to partner with them in their new roles as Special Advisors and benefitting from the wealth of knowledge, experience and strategic relationships they have accumulated as leaders in the cruise industry for over two decades.”
DeMarco has served as Regent’s chief sales and marketing officer since September 2021, but has been with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings since 2012. She will be the first female president in the company’s history.
While NCL Holdings Ltd.’s chairman of the board said the changes were part of a “robust succession planning process,” the announcement came at the same time the company is slashing its shoreside workforce by about 9% (as reported by Seatrade Cruise News).
