Margaritaville Will Debut First New England Resort This Summer
by Laurie Wilson /Margaritaville Resorts will open Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod this summer, a 272-room year-round resort that will take over the Cape Codder Resort & Spa in Hyannis, which had been in that location for decades.
The resort will be managed by Linchris, a hospitality management company based in Plymouth Massachusetts.
“We’re excited to welcome Parrot Heads around the world to our very special destination, and are grateful to Linchris for their investment in our community,” says Paul Niedzwiecki, Chief Executive Officer, of Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
“Cape Cod, especially Hyannis, is a place with so much history, charm, and personality,” says Tamara Baldanza-Dekker, Chief Marketing Officer at Margaritaville. “It’s the perfect location for our first New England lodging destination.” The resort will target families, groups, friends, couples, and corporate meetings.
Following a thirty million dollar top-to-bottom reimagination, Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod will feature “design elements that adapt the property for all four seasons,” says Baldanza-Dekker.
Guest room decor will be inspired by a “color palette inspired by the sea, sand, and sun” with private balconies. Also, expect Fins Up! Indoor Water Park, an outdoor pool, St. Somewhere Spa, Fins Up! Fitness Center, Parakeets Kid’s Club, and a Fin City Arcade, along with signature Margaritaville bars and eateries including LandShark Bar & Grill, 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar, and Salty Rim Bar & Grill.
“Our resorts bring together thoughtful amenities and tropical design elements that provide guests with reimagined travel experiences and Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod promises the same,” says Baldanza-Dekker.
Margaritaville is a “state of mind” and a global lifestyle brand inspired by Jimmy Buffett whose songs evoke a passion for tropical escape and relaxation. The brand has a formidable presence in many destinations. In addition to the Cape Cod resort, Margaritaville recently opened a Margaritaville Restaurant in Boston’s Faneuil Hall and continues to look for destinations in New England and beyond, to introduce the brand to even more consumers and travelers, says Baldanza-Dekker.
Currently, Margaritaville features over 40 lodging locations including boutique hotels, all-inclusive resorts, branded real estate, and premium RV destinations. The company recently announced projects in Galveston, Texas, Lake Texoma, Texas, and Kansas City, Kansas. And Compass Hotel by Margaritaville in Naples, Florida, will open soon as well as the debut of Margaritaville at Sea Islander in June.
