After breaking booking records with Icon of the Seas' first season, Royal Caribbean is opening up the ship's next season of deployment early. Starting today (Sept. 12) for members of Crown & Anchor Society, the ship's lineup of seven-night cruises from Miami will go on sale to the public on Sept. 13. The new deployment includes sailings to two new destinations: Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
"Since Icon of the Seas was revealed almost a year ago, the response has been unprecedented by every measure," said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. "The excitement has only continued to build, making it clear that we've designed a revolutionary experience that reflects how consumers want to travel today and for years to come."
Itineraries in the new deployment include:
- Seven-night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day at CocoCay: Sailing from Miami, various itineraries will visit Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), San Juan (Puerto Rico), Philipsburg (St. Maarten), and Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas). Along with two or three days at sea, every cruise includes a visit to Perfect Day.
- Seven-night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day at CocoCay: Sailing from Miami, visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel (Mexico), and Roatan (Honduras). Every western Caribbean cruise also features Perfect Day and two sea days.
Icon of the Seas debuts January 2024. The first of an all-new class of ship, it will feature eight neighborhoods, including Surfside, the first neighborhood dedicated solely to families with kids 6 and younger. It will also have the largest waterpark at sea, 14 new cabin categories, the line's first-ever swim up bar, and the AquaDome, a day-to-night space enclosed within a glimmering dome that offers tranquil relaxation by day and exciting AquaTheater at night.
