Amex GBT Names O’Hara Interim CEO, Debuts Canada Program
by Richard D’Ambrosio /Confirming recent rumors, American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) announced that Greg O’Hara, chairman of the board, has become its interim president and CEO, replacing Bill Glenn. The company’s executive leadership team will report directly to O’Hara during a transition period while a search for a new president and CEO is conducted.
Separately, GBT announced that in an effort to deliver more personalized attention to frequent business travelers, it has expanded its FIRST premium travel management platform to Canada, after a successful launch in the United States. The FIRST program leverages mobile technology, software, and 24/7 service from a dedicated team of travel experts. The foundation of the program is a caller ID software that pulls up the traveler’s profile and all relevant information and preferences.
