Celestyal Cruises Rebrands with Focus on its Greek DNA

Celestyal Cruises announced today that it is rebranding itself with a new logo that celebrates the line’s dedication to the Greek isles. Celestyal, which sails the Eastern Mediterranean, unveiled the new logo, built in consultation with Peter Economides of Felix BNI, on Tuesday.

The logo focuses on the iconic windmills that dot the Greek isles and includes the tagline “Experience life, experience the journey,” taken from the C.P. Cavafy poem “Ithaca.” The logo will debut first on its new flagship, Celestyal Experience, a former Costa Cruises ship that Celestyal purchased last summer that is set to enter service in March 2021.

The new branding for Celestyal

The goal of the rebrand, Celestyal said, is to reflect the evolution of the cruise line while continuing to incorporate the region it sails, while targeting a younger demographic of cruisers. In a statement announcing the news, Celestyal CCO Leslie Peden called now “the perfect time to re-examine our brand.”

“This is a most exciting time in our company’s history as we look to the future with the addition of the Celestyal Experience to our fleet,” he said. “This was also the perfect time to re-examine our brand and to reimagine it to be more reflective of our new direction and what today’s traveler is looking for from their travel experience.

“As we look to grow our audience, we are keen to capture more of a younger demographic including the key millennial audience. We feel that the new branding underscores key attributes of truly experiencing life through travel that resonates particularly well with millennials as well as our other key audiences. We are extremely pleased with the work done by Peter to revitalize our brand to truly reflect our Greek spirit and love of life.”

Right now, Celestyal is targeting March 6, 2021 for its return to service, which will start with the debut of Celestyal Experience. The cruise line is also offering free COVID-19 travel insurance for all new cruise bookings.
