G Adventures on Friday announced that it was extending the suspension of its tours through at least August in response to the continuing COVID-19 global pandemic.
“The health and safety of our travelers and staff is our main priority and this is an essential measure to protect our travelers and our people at this time,” the tour company said in a statement.
All guests who were booked on the impacted tours will receive a 110% travel credit for all services paid to be used two years from the end of the month of their tour’s suspension.
G Adventures is also offering travelers booked on tours departing up to December 31, 2020 the option to transfer their booking to a future date for the same price. Alternatively, they can pay in full and receive a 110% travel credit for a future tour.
The tour company also recently announced its Book with Confidence policy, which lets guests cancel and rebook their tour closer to the time of departure, and its Travel with Confidence Plus Collection, a collection of tours that feature options catering to those wanting additional safeguards in place. Those itineraries will comprise a series of small group tours with an average of 8-10 guests, private transportation with assigned seating, and options for private room accommodations and more personal space within shared facilities like bathrooms.
