Margaritaville and Karisma Hotels & Resorts are sharing more details on their previously announced partnership of a collection of all-inclusive luxury resorts.
Called Margaritaville Island Reserve by Karisma, the brand will be composed of upscale, relaxed resorts built in beachfront destinations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.
It promises “upscale coastal design, exceptional service, and top-quality food and beverage,” including local flavors from Rita’s Taco house and gourmet offerings from Frank & Lola’s and Chill Beachside Bar & Grill.
“The landmark partnership between Karisma and Margaritaville will combine the exceptional hospitality and service Karisma is known for with Margaritaville’s signature food and beverage concepts under their esteemed lifestyle brand in premier beachfront destinations across Mexico and the Caribbean,” a company spokesperson said.

The first property, Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun by Karisma, will open this winter. Additional confirmed locations include a second resort in Mexico’s Riviera Maya in 2020, as well as Negril in Jamaica and Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic.
“With breathtaking beach views, friendly and anticipatory service and our signature Margaritaville state of mind, Margaritaville Island Reserve is truly the ‘Mi Casa es Su Casa’ experience guests deserve at an inclusive resort,” said Tamara Baldanza-Dekker, chief marketing officer for Margaritaville.
This will be Margaritaville’s first collection of inclusive luxury resorts. The continuously expanding empire from Jimmy Buffet now includes 18 properties since launching its hotel arm in 2010. It has 24 additional projects in the pipeline.
