Toolkit: EagleRider Rolls Out Agency Dashboard

by Michèle McDonald  March 11, 2013

EagleRider Creates Travel Agency Dashboard
EagleRider, a motorcycle rental and tour company, launched Agent Interface, a dashboard that gives travel agent partners and tour operators access to real-time motorcycle rental reservations in EagleRider’s rental system.

EagleRider, which also sells and services motorcycles, has actively sought out partnerships with the travel trade. It said Agent Interface is the first step toward building greater efficiency and convenience between EagleRider and its partners. It has an account management team dedicated to maintaining service and administrative work.

Previously, EagleRider had a manual entry process for travel agent and tour operator reservations. Agent Interface will cut the lag time and give agents direct access to real-time rental rates and reservation entry.

In addition to saving time and minimizing duplicate work, Agent Interface will also offer payment and exchange rate options.

Passport Expediter Launches Affiliate Program
Expedited Travel, which operates RushMyPassport.com and RushMyTravelVisa.com, created an affiliate program that aims to reach the entire travel industry, including travel management companies, host agencies, individual travel agents, corporate travel departments, cruise lines, tour operators and online agencies.

The affiliate program will be overseen by Gene Brezenoff, director of sales and strategic partnerships and a 25-year veteran of the travel industry.

Expedited Travel provides professional customer service and step-by-step instructions for preparing passport and entry visa documents.

It offers industry commissions, reduced corporate pricing, account management tools, co-branded web pages, real-time client- and commission-tracking software, web services for enterprise integration and free banners and links for travel-related websites.

Amadeus Germany Adds Social Media Tools
Amadeus Germany beefed up its Amadeus Social Media Suite to provide more customization and to make its social media efforts more entertaining.

Agents will find basic recommendations and guidelines on the use of social media in the Knowledge Center, which explains the various platforms and provides a glossary with relevant technical information and important links.

Amadeus partnered with Inzumi Travel Guides to enable agency customers to assemble personalized travel guides within the Facebook environment. The guides can be delivered in book form, PDF or as a mobile app.
