Tropical Storm Leslie, which is currently hovering in the Atlantic, is expected to become a hurricane Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The storm is 600 miles east of Bermuda as of Monday morning, producing winds of up to 60 miles per hour. It is anticipated to increase in strength over the next two days before losing strength as it moves north. It is not expected to threaten any landmasses.
According to the NHC, the storm is currently moving toward the west-southwest at 5 miles per hour.
It’s not forecasted to have a huge impact on travel at the moment—right now, the NHC expects the storm to bring strong swells to the Bahamas, Bermuda, and some of the southeastern United States, though there are currently no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
