Georgia Tourism Launches New Television Campaign
by Richard D'Ambrosio /For the first time in ten years, the state of Georgia has launched a broadcast television ad campaign. The campaign, called “Pretty.Sweet,” was launched this month by Georgia Tourism, a division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Travel agents and consumers will see the two new spots running in multiple drive markets in the Southeast through May.
“Our goal with this new campaign is to encourage visitors to Explore Georgia’s tourism offerings that make us so unique,” said Kevin Langston, deputy commissioner of tourism at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Newly shot footage emphasize Georgia’s outdoor adventure venues, arts, and culture.
The “Pretty.Sweet.” campaign debuted in 2015 in print, radio, digital, social, outdoor and web platforms.
At the heart of the new commercials is an original song, “Life’s Pretty Sweet,” with Novel, an Atlanta-based singer, songwriter and producer, who also provided vocals on the original song. Georgia Tourism has dubbed 2016 “The Year of Georgia Music” and has prominently featured the state’s unique music offerings through all of its marketing channels.
The new television spots can be viewed and shared via Explore Georgia’s YouTube channel. Agents can connect with Georgia Tourism on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
