Robb Report Highlights 2017 Luxury Travel Trends

The Robb Report’s annual travel issue is on the newsstands, lighting up traveler imaginations with everything from island getaways and African adventures to tips on the science of a good night’s sleep.

The issue leads off with “The Robb Perfect 10” destinations that its editors are dreaming about. A five-page spread lights the flame of fantasy for everything from heli-skiing the Chugach Mountains, to Mongolian lodges, to the soft sands of Koh Samui island in Thailand.

The Coral Island, a 238-foot, five-deck super yacht, is featured in all its luxuriousness, over two pages, while editor-in-chief Brett Anderson shows us how paradise has been restored in the Cayman Islands, on six color-filled pages highlighting the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa, The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman, and Le Soleil, a farm with a boutique resort and spa.

In the Personal Best column, Margie Goldsmith interviews NFL superstar wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who says “travel is the only thing you can buy that makes your richer.”

High-net-worth individuals with a bent for philanthropy are having an impact on the confluence of conservation and travel in Africa, writes Sophy Roberts. Roberts has traveled to 13 African countries as a writer for The Financial Times, and helps tell the history of the conservation movement that will help preserve the main attraction to luxury travelers in countries like Kenya and the Republic of Congo.
