Adventures by Disney Suspends Tours through End of 2020

by Jessica Montevago  October 23, 2020
Adventures by Disney Suspends Tours through End of 2020

Families will embark on more Adventures by Disney river cruise vacations than ever before in 2021 with 30 sailings along four enchanting European rivers: Danube, Rhine, Rhone and Seine. Select departures are reserved exclusively for families traveling without children, including Food and Wine and Oktoberfest-themed cruises, and festive holiday sailings wrap up the extended river cruise season. Adventures by Disney suspended departures through the end of the year due to COVID-19.

That includes Adventures by Disney and AmaWaterways river cruises. All Rhine, Rhône, Seine and Danube river cruise sailings and their associated Escape trips to Amsterdam, Budapest and Paris have been canceled through Dec. 31, 2020.

The tour operator arm of Walt Disney said it currently plans “to move forward with any trip not listed above… However, we will continue to make adjustments as necessary,” adding it will notify guests should there be changes to their itinerary.

Adventures by Disney will be contacting travel agents with impacted clients with updated information and options.

Guests on who have Adventures booked through Dec. 31 can change their reservation and receive a 100% credit to be used toward a future Adventure. They must make their change 45 days prior to the Adventure start date. Guests have until March 31, 2021 to select a new date.

Private Adventures added for 2021
Adventures by Disney also announced that it has added new Private Adventures, for groups of up to 12 guests, to five destinations.

Led by either one dedicated Private Adventure Guide or a team of Private Adventure Guides, guests can look forward to insider access to select attractions, unique cultural experiences, and privately guided tours. Unlike our group travel trips, most Private Adventures have no minimum age requirement.

Adventures by Disney is currently offering itineraries with departure dates starting in April 2021 for Costa Rica, Egypt, Greece, Italy, and Peru.

Adventures by Disney Private Adventures go on sale on Oct. 27, 2020.
