Airlines for America Launch New Website for Coronavirus
by Daine TaylorAirlines for America (A4A), the airline advocacy group, has announced the launch of its new webpage, AirlinesTakeAction.com, which will serve as a streamlined resource for air travelers, government agencies, and the general public on the coronavirus (COVID-19).
At the site, users can access information on how U.S. carriers are taking action against the outbreak; as well as travel tips and FAQs on the outbreak from the CDC, HHS and DHS. The webpage will be updated regularly with new information to ensure the traveling public has all the necessary facts to make informed decisions.
“The safety, health and well-being of travelers are always the top priorities of U.S. carriers,” said Rebecca Spicer, senior vice president of communications, at Airlines for America. “That’s why airlines are working collaboratively with the administration, CDC, HHS, DOT, DHS and other federal agencies to identify and implement pragmatic, effective solutions during this public health crisis.”
The webpage additionally includes news clips from mayors across the nation who remind travelers that their cities are open for business.
“I just want to echo again that the risk is low – the risk is low. I encourage Americans to go about their life. That includes travel to California, Oregon and the state of Washington,” said Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
