Princess Cruises Commits to Protect Advisor Commission Levels into 2022

Princess Cruises is joining its Carnival Corp. sister brands—Holland America, Carnival Cruise Line, and Seabourn—in protecting travel advisor 2019 commission levels into 2022.

Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Line both announced that they would honor travel advisor commission levels earned in 2019 through the end of 2022 on Wendesday and Seabourn matched it shortly after. Princess also made the announcement this week.

“In gratitude for the work travel advisors have done during the past year and as a testament to our partnership, we wanted to assure travel advisors that we are protecting their commission levels,” Princess SVP of sales and trade marketing John Chernesky said this week.

The move means that advisors who suffered from a loss of bookings in 2020 and 2021 won’t be penalized and will be able to earn at the level through the end of next year. Any bookings made this year and next will be recorded at the same level as bookings made in 2019.
