by Jessica Montevago  April 04, 2017

Travel agents looking to broaden their knowledge of how to plan corporate meetings can enroll in the new Global Business Travel Association training course.

Corporate Meetings Program and Design: It’s About TIME is comprised of five 90-minute modules that provide the principles and tools needed for a successful corporate meetings program. The course is led by Anthem Inc. director of travel and events Cindy Heston, who oversees a team responsible for the travel and event needs of more than 50,000 Anthem associates.

Lessons include the following:

  • Module 1: Stakeholder Identification, April 26
  • Module 2: Building a Business Case, May 3
  • Module 3: Architect Your Meeting Program, May 10
  • Module 4: Procurement and Travel Synergies, May 17
  • Module 5: Technology and Data Visualization, May 24

After completing all five modules and passing a 10-question quiz after each, agents will earn a Certificate of Achievement. Additionally, certified Global Travel Professionals will receive two GTP recertification credits per module.

Register for all five modules and receive a 10% discount. The five-module package starts at $250 for members and $725 for non-members, or each module can be registered separately at $55 for members and $160 for non-members.
