Carnival Cruise Line this week announced that it is giving travel advisors far and wide the opportunity to take part in GoCCL, Carnival’s advisor platform, and its “100 GoCCL Training” being offered in 100 cities in 2020.
The trainings will be held by Carnival business development managers (BDMs) in local movie theaters across the country and will feature one-on-one help on how to use all the tools on GoCCL, real-life video success stories of advisors who have done so, and how it has helped their business. There will also be light snacks and prizes.
The 100 trainings are another component of Carnival’s “Why Use a Travel Advisor” (WUATA) initiative, which was first launched in 2019 and expanded this year to include 100 parties in 100 cities across North America and the Caribbean, starting in April. The idea behind the initiative is to ultimately help advisors reinforce their value with consumers.
The 100 trainings will do that by helping advisors build the knowledge and learn the tools that they need to best serve their clients with Carnival, said Adolfo Perez, Carnival’s senior vice president of global sales and trade marketing.
“One big takeaway from last year’s WUATA programs was that agent knowledge and expertise are the top reasons why consumers choose to use a travel advisor, and the ‘100 GoCCL Trainings’ are a quick-and-easy way to build that knowledge and positively impact your business,” Perez said. “The bottom line is, ‘100 GoCCL Trainings’ represents a small investment in time for a big return in business.”
Details, including a city-by-city schedule and registration options, are available on GoCCL.com.
