Grand Circle Increasing Single Cabin Inventory
River cruise company Grand Circle Cruise Line is adding more than 600 single cabins to its 2016 inventory. The company said the 21% increase in inventory is due to a larger demand for solo travel among American baby boomers and seniors, particularly women. According to Grand Circle, a third of all its travelers are solo-travelers and 88% of its solo travelers are women. The company’s Solo-Friendly Program, which includes its Roommate Matching and Travel Companion options, gives single travelers free or reduced single supplements on all its river cruises.
