Norwegian Aqua, the newest ship from Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), officially arrived in Miami on Tuesday, its new home for the next few months.
After a season of Bermuda sailings from New York City, Aqua is now scheduled to spend the winter in Miami, sailing Caribbean itineraries through April 2026. Most of those itineraries are seven-day voyages with calls to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s exclusive private island.
“We are delighted to welcome Norwegian Aqua to her new homeport in Miami, the city where NCL originated and continues to play a significant role in our history even today with our headquarters here,” said Harry Sommer, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
The ship, which is 10% larger than its sister ships Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, boasts several new features, including the Aqua Slidecoaster. es include the interactive digital sports complex Glow Court, the Aqua Game Zone arcade, and the adults-only Vibe Beach Club.
TMR was onboard when the ship debuted earlier this year, and got an inside look at the ship’s entertainment, extra space, food haul, and more.
