Oceania Cruises is adding dozens more solo cabins to four of its ships, and introducing two new shore excursion categories as part of its ongoing OceaniaNEXT initiative.

“One of the greatest factors in Oceania Cruises’ success is that we not only listen to the feedback our guests and travel partners provide, we act on it,” said Howard Sherman, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises. “Our guests and travel partners wanted more options for solo travelers and more diverse tour offerings, as we are delighted to deliver.”

Solo Cabins
The 14 solo oceanview staterooms will debut on Regatta first, starting with its September 25 sailing, followed by Nautica on September 26 and Insignia and Serena, both on October 1. Vista will also have solo cabins when it launches in April 2023.

Each of the 14 cabins is located on Deck 6 and features the line’s signature Tranquility Bed, a mini-bar, cozy seating area and abundant storage space.

“These new single-occupancy staterooms are ideal for guests seeking the joy of traveling solo while experiencing all the comfort, cuisine, and destination expertise that Oceania Cruises is renowned for,” Sherman said.

Pricing and availability for the new Solo Oceanview Staterooms will be available on April 11 for sailings beginning on or after September 25.

New Shore Excursions
Oceania also unveiled two new shore excursion series: Go Green and Beyond Blueprints.

“Whether guests are visiting a destination for the first time or the tenth, our new Go Green and Beyond Blueprints tours offer fresh perspectives and unique insights to enhance their destination experience,” Sherman said.

With more than 150 Go Green tours, travelers can engage with residents and businesses to learn about how they are working to conserve and sustain their surrounding environment. The tours offer participants the opportunity to take part in a variety of experiences, such as: visiting a sustainable vineyard in Almeria, Spain; learning all about hydroponic farming in the rainforests of St. Kitts; exploring the world of eco-conscious art in Buenos Aires; and imbibing in zero-emission rum from the world’s only carbon-free distillery in Dartmouth, U.K.

The 10 European Beyond Blueprints tours offer an in-depth look behind the scenes at some of the world’s most iconic architectural landmarks, such as The Royal Library and Blue Planet aquarium in Copenhagen; the Equinor office building and the Munchmuseet in Oslo; and La Villa Mediterranee and MUCEM in Marseille. Other Beyond Blueprints tours will be available in Barcelona, Belfast, Glasgow, La Coruna (Spain), Lisbon, and Sete (France).

Additional Beyond Blueprints tours in other parts of the world are expected to be unveiled later this year.

Full tour details and pricing will be available on Oceania’s website when the new shore excursions are opened for sale at the end of April.
