Clement Mousset, the chief strategy officer for Orient Express Silenseas, is leaving the company after 18 months of helping to steer the course of the new luxury yacht brand. Simultaneously, Angela Composto, is leaving her role as vice president of sales and marketing for Orient Express Sailing Yachts.

Both departures were first announced online and reported by Seatrade Cruise News.

“My 18-month mission at #OrientExpressSilenseas is coming to an end, after intense and exciting months imagining the contours of a unique cruising experience in the world,” Mousset wrote on LinkedIn. “Participating in the construction of this extraordinary project was an honor, and a formidable professional challenge.”

Mousset joined Orient Express Silenseas in January 2024. He previously spent four years at CFC Croisieries as president and co-founder. He has also worked with Cruise & Maritime Voyages, Celestyal Voyages, Royal Caribbean, and Costa Cruises.

Angela Composto Also Leaving

Orient Express Sailing Yachts’ vice president of sales and marketing Angela Composto also tendered her resignation, citing a desire to be based stateside, she told TMR. (Composto is one of only a handful of Americans working for Orient Express Sailing Yachts.)

Though she reported to Mousset, her departure is not related to his. She will stay through the end of July.

Composto joined Orient Express Sailing Yachts after a year as vice president of marketing and sales for the now defunct American Queen Voyages. Prior to her time at AQV, Composto spent four years as head of sales and marketing at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, almost a year and a half as vice president of marketing and public relations for Crystal Cruises, and three and a half years as vice president of marketing for Silversea Cruises.

The first yacht in the Orient Express Sailing Yachts fleet will be the 120-guest Orient Express Corinthian. It is scheduled to debut in summer 2026, with a sister ship scheduled for 2027.
