It’s been nearly a year since Royal Caribbean brought a ship to its private Haitian port of Labadee. It’s next visit won’t be any time soon. The line, which had paused all visits to the island until May 2026, has now said all calls through the end of the year are off the table.
The line’s statement on the extension is virtually identical to its last one in September 2025.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we have extended our pause to Labadee through December 2026,” the line said.
Royal Caribbean had paused visits to Labadee for about seven months in 2024, then briefly resumed visiting the port in late 2024 and early 2025.
The U.S. State Department reissued it’s “Do Not Travel” warning for Haiti in July 2025. The warning has been in place continuously since July 2023.
