Virgin Voyages continues to expand beyond its Caribbean and Mediterranean homebases. Beginning summer 2028, Virgin Voyages will head to Scandinavia and the Baltic for the first time with six itineraries that see Valiant Lady sailing from Amsterdam – another first for the cruise line. The season will cap off with an Arctic Circle crossing featuring a midnight sun deck party.
“Plenty of brands call an expansion ‘new’ when it’s really the same product with a different backdrop,” saidJohn Lovell, board member and senior advisor of Virgin Voyages. “This isn’t that. Every voyage in this season has a new destination, and it’s new to your client too.”
Four Northern Europe itineraries, bookended by two one-way voyages between Barcelona and Amsterdam, will be on offer, with the first departing Barcelona on July 9, 2028, and stopping in Casablanca, Lisbon (overnight), La Coruña, and Cherbourg.
The four voyages range from seven to 12 nights:
- Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight (July 19-31, 2028, 12 nights) – Ports include Oslo, Copenhagen, Gdańsk (Poland), Stockholm (overnight), Berlin (via Warnemünde), and Aarhus (Denmark).
- Norwegian Fjords (July 31 – Aug. 7, 2028, seven nights) – Ports include Molde, Nordfjordeid, Flåm, and Bergen.

Client who want the whole run can lock in the Summer Season Pass, which covers all four voyages back-to-back aboard Valiant Lady in a Central Sea Terrace for two guests. Also included in the pass are $15 per person, per night in onboard drink credit, one complimentary Shore Thing excursion per voyage (up to $250 per person), one complimentary Arctic Circle Discovery excursion, upgraded Work from Sea Wi-Fi, laundry service, and more. Double occupancy is required across all four voyages, along with full payment at time of booking. Pricing will be announced Aug. 14, 2026, the same day bookings for the Season Pass open.
